Reishi has been referred to in China for over 4,000 years as the “king of mushrooms,” and as the “primal food” for strength and vitality.

Regular reishi products on the market are usually the extract or powder of the entire reishi mushroom. Located on the underside of the fungal body, spores serve to spread the fungus. Unlike fruiting bodies—that require hot-water extraction techniques to melt the chitin around the medicinal compounds—a unique, gentle milling technique is used to break down cell walls so as to access the mosaic of fungal polysaccharides present in the spores. These sought-after compounds have immunomodulating properties which help manage symptoms of fatigue and weakness.
